Road Trippin'

So I'm on the road... driving through Texas. Three days ago I left Los Angeles, CA. A visit to super-heated Tucson was the first stop. In order to escape the heat of the day, people drive up to the Sky Islands, where there are pines, woodland flowers and cooler temperatures. It was gorgeous! It was totally different than the cacti & succulents of the town below. They are beautiful also, but the temperatures were hovering around 110, making casual walking pretty exhausting!

The next stop will be San Antonio, Texas, where hopefully, there will be an amazing fireworks display for Independence Day! Either way, I'm sure that the flowers on the roadsides on the way there will be brilliant!

Highlights: $5.99 shrimp fajitas in Tucson, cheap & delicious "make your own tacos" in New Mexico, which came with guacamole, fresh cilantro, grilled onions, roasted peppers, and more!
