Pumpkin Carving Time!
This Sunday, we hosted a Pumpkin Carving Party at the apartment... I got to decorate the house in sunflowers, dark red mums, and the fall leaves that I pressed from my walk a week ago! We served up pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and jalapeno poppers that I made, and people brought hardy and yummy treats to share! It was a lot of fun! Of course, after we were done gutting the pumpkins, my boyfriend cleaned up the pumpkin seeds, seasoned them, and baked them in the oven while we all carved away. We had out my wood carving tools, knives, and Dremels! It was hilarious! Check out the pictures...
I think the pumpkin carving party merely jump-started us for the season... all of us were talking about the NEXT pumpkin we wanted to carve! It was just so much fun, and the seasoned pumpkin seeds were delicious!
I was last seen in the construction industry, wearing a hard hat and yelling at guys. Just kidding! I never yelled! My guys liked working with me, actually. But I was losing my creative self, which is very important to me. So... I left. I am also most happy when I'm helping to inspire people, either with my crafting posts, showing something amazing about nature, or sharing my latest favorite bookmaking project... I love working with my hands...oh to feel things! I am always looking for ways to expand my knowledge about nature, life, people, my art.... that's what this life is for, I believe.

What a fun party! I love all the accoutrements you added to make the party even more festive. These pumpkins are so cool! Love the spider! I am definitely going to do something more interesting to mine this year after seeing yours.
