We had a lovely weekend here in Bethlehem, PA. The sun was out, the temps were around 70, and there was a chili fest going on in the south side! So K and I walked over on Saturday, in time for some chili tasting. (We only tried five each, but the weird thing is that they ALL tasted wildly different from each other... who'd have thunk?) My favorite was the vendor in front of Apotheca.... so delish!
Afterwards, we hung out with some friends, out in the streets that were cordoned off for craft sales, hoola-hooping, dancing and socializing.... it was lovely out! After a few drinks, we ended up in a bar called the Funhouse, where a reggae band was playing some tunes. We danced until sweaty, and then relaxed out in their courtyard, cooling off. It's funny how a day "away" (from computers, work, etc) really makes you realize that you've been kind of a hermit for a while. There really ARE other people out there! We had a lot of fun with friends, and vow to do more of this. Isn't it easy to get stuck in the mundane?
I took lots of video, but only the one photo above. I'm putting something together now, so when I'm done, if I can figure out how, I'll post it. I really hope that you all had a wonderful weekend, too!

Sounds so fun, Shari!
So true, we need to explore outside our comfort zone! There are truly so many things out there for all of us~

Wait a minute, you mean there's a whole world beyond my computer?? :) I had plans to head over to a craft fair this weekend, but I had to put it on hold to fix my blog (I messed it up pretty bad). So, I was at my computer all weekend, but that chili festival looks like so much fun!
mmm yummy a Chili Fest we have them a lot here in Texas you almost can't go to any restaurant without some type of chili put on something. We even have Chili burgers never had one and I think my stomach thanks me.
Looks like so much fun Shari and you are so right about getting out there and living it up a little/lot lol. And you can always share those kind of adventures right? The lilac is stunning and the reggae bar sounds like a blast!
