Compai Giveaway! Check It Out!

I don't always participate in giveaways... only rarely. But this one is very exciting, as it's from a blog I really like, and also it's for a set of three wonderful books... On this blog, you'll frequently see their trips to the Rose Bowl Flea Market, and the amazing things they find there. They also report on awesome events and festivals that they attend... like recently going to Burning Man. I've been wanting to for YEARS. I mean YEARS. And it gets bigger every year!! Damn it. I really, really need to go. Not a lot of people on the eastern seaboard have even heard of this artsy celebration, but on the west coast, everyone knows about it. Most people have gone at least once. (Those who are artistically inclined, or who love to camp in the dessert, dress like nomads, fairies or Mad Max characters for a week, and meet lots of fun people.) If you've never googled it, you should. It's awesome! It's not for prisses, though. There's no way to really stay clean while you're there. Everyone has to bring in all their own water, and the desert dust clings to everything. I saw the effect it has on vehicles, as my sister took my mom's minivan to the festival one year, and it's STILL filled with dust in various nooks and crannies. 


Anyway, I digress! Compai is a wonderful blog, and I think you should check it out! If nothing else, you'll get some inspiration on reusing and repurposing (upcycling) old and worn out clothing items, to get some further use out of your things instead of chucking them into the waste bin. Hooray!
